We present low resolution spectrophotometric and imaging ISO observations of a sample of 54 AGN's over the 2.5–11 µ range. The observations generally support unification schemes and set new constraints on models of the molecular torus.

We analyze a composite broad-band optical/UV/Xγ-ray spectrum of the Seyfert 1 galaxy NGC 5548. The spectrum consists of an average of simultaneous optical/IUE/Ginga observations accompanied by ROSAT and GRO/OSSE data from non-simultaneous observations. A complex structure of nuclear disks of normal spiral galaxies is illustrated on the example of five galaxies, observed at 6m telescope. A problem of gravitational stability of nuclear disks is shortly discussed.

ar X iv : a st ro - p h / 98 10 42 8 v 1 2 7 O ct 1 99 8 Preliminary Analysis of STIS - HST Spectra of Compact Ejecta from Eta

We describe some preliminary results from spatially-resolved spectroscopy of the compact ejection knots B and D in the η Carinae wind. We emphasize various line diagnostics of the abundances, kinematics and physical conditions. The data are from new STIS-HST observations described by Gull et al. elsewhere in this volume.
